Another year has come and gone and somehow I have not been run out of Citytown by an angry mob yet. It’s been quite some time since I’ve last been able to write out all my thoughts, and my therapist says that I should start doing it again after the whole Quillson incident… Oh, how I hate that duck.
Well, shall I then? I suppose I’ll write about the most memorable moments of each month. Let’s start at the beginning…
January
The new year is starting off great! Not just great — wonderful! Spectacular! Absolutely positively fantastic! Antonio has asked me to hang out! He actually asked me this time! I didn’t need to barge in on him as I usually do. I feel like we’ve just taken a very serious step in our relationship.
This is especially good considering what happened on New Year’s Eve… I encouraged Antonio to join the rest of the town and myself in celebration of the new year. However, he didn’t take kindly to it when I tried to bring him there myself…
I built a snow-woman in hopes of it lifting my spirits and playing a rousing game of bingo and somehow wound up even more depressed…

It’s a good thing Antonio and I was able to patch things up.
February
At last, this was the month that I found every fossil that the museum was searching for! It took two years and endless digging, but luckily I somehow managed to find at least four a day. What are the odds? Sadly, I was only rewarded with a rather inadequate pun for my efforts.
As a side note, Antonio would have made an excellent dinosaur. He told me himself.
March
Boy, was this month the beginning of something. It all started when I found a paper bag outside. There appeared to be something inside, most likely something of value. I decided that perhaps it would be best I found the owner before I had the urge to keep it for myself.
Of course, the first person I asked was Antonio, and he said it wasn’t his, but he wanted it. I explained to him that it belonged to someone else and in response, he threw a tantrum. As hard as it was to resist his boyish charm, I knew it was my duty as mayor to return the bag to its rightful owner (you know, now that we have cops in the town).
It turned out the bag belonged to Wolf Link, and there was absolutely nothing of value in that bag as I had originally suspected.
Nonetheless, Wolf Link was pleased that I had returned his paper bag of bagginess and had suggested we hang out for the day. Of course, I accepted his offer and invited him over to my house.
It’s crazy how much we have in common! He’s a hero, kind of like me. I mean, the mayor is basically a hero of their town — especially in Citytown’s case. I seriously wonder how anyone managed to survive before I got here… Oh, we also both love arts and crafts!
I had to admit, Wolf Link is the entire package — but my heart belongs to one animal, and that is, and forever will be Antonio. Unfortunately, he didn’t get the hint.
April
Things have been getting weird now that Wolf Link and I have been hanging out so much. I think that Antonio might be feeling threatened by him. Wolf Link decided to give me a new nickname, and Antonio was just shocked — SHOCKED — when he found out the next day!
As much as it pains me to do so, I think I need to spend some time apart from the both of them. I decided to help some of the neighbors with some tedious labor to get my mind off of things.

May
Things have only gotten more out of control! The boys keep insisting I hang out with each of them! I didn’t want to seem weird about it, so I started to resume spending time with each of them. Just when I thought things were going back to normal, Wolf Link kept coming on to me so strongly!
Later in the month, I ran into Antonio and he — Pardon me, it’s just so hard to even think about — He — Wanted to leave town! How could he ask this? Did he know about Wolf Link? I begged him to stay, telling him that it was a misunderstanding! Wolf Link and I were just friends! Luckily I am a charismatically gifted and convinced him to stay. I remember my exact words were “No, stay here.”
I can finally rest at ease knowing that Antonio will now and forever be in my town. I am currently in the process of creating a law forbidding him from ever leaving. Ever.
June
Things have been a lot better after all that relationship drama cleared up. In fact, things ended up working out for Wolf Link! A new wolf, Whitney, had moved into town.
Gosh, she’s so pretty, I wish I were her… O-oh! Well, getting back on point, according to Fang, it seems that she and Wolf Link hit it off pretty well! What a perfect pair!
And Wolf Link seemed so happy when I bumped into him later on. The two of them would have gorgeous children… Oh, I’d never seen Wolf Link so happy!
But later I found out from Antonio that FANG is the one who likes her!
You know what — I’m done! DONE! All this drama has gotten out of control! Ah, how I long for the old days when I was merely Antonio’s stalk– er, admirer. Perhaps I should start things anew and return to my roots.

As for Fang, I think he might be plotting something to remove Wolf Link from the picture…
But like I said, I am staying out of it! No more drama for me! No matter how badly I want to watch…
July
This month I decided to focus more on my friendships rather than deal with any more relationship drama. Of course, I still followed — visited Antonio, but I really had a good time hanging with the girls. Whitney, Ankha, and I would even have girls nights! It was great, they braided my hair, I painted their claws — you know, the usual.
It’s a little sad though, Phoebe wasn’t invited because of a small incident with the mail. Whitney had accidentally gotten Phoebe’s mail and was worried that Phoebe would be mad at her. She told me this with the utmost seclusion, so it’s important that these words never leave this book.
August
It was a pretty good month overall. A new citizen moved in, Lopez. Nice fellow, that one. He certainly has a way with words!
But it was also the month of one of the most embarrassing moments of my entire life! Antonio had found the secret fan fiction that I wrote about us! Luckily, he didn’t seem to know who wrote it as I never sign my name on anything, not even important mayor documents! That way when I screw up, no one will ever know…
Regardless, he came to me and told me all about the story. My whole face was red with embarrassment, but fortunately, he seemed rather distracted from that and more focused on the role that I had given him in the story.
I told him I would bring the story to the lost and found, and that gorgeous idiot fell for it. Snuck it back to my house and put it in a place that no one would ever look for it — Under my Antonio shrine.
September
Antonio got into a fight with my fish. Needless to say, he lost.
October
Whitney and I continued to bond over the month of October. We really needed to work on her crafting skills.
Regardless, we would get together regularly, and sometimes we would even invite some of the other girls. You know, it’s great to have gal pals like them. It feels so good to just talk about the important things in life.
November
Fang asked me the most peculiar question this month.
He… He does know, right?
December
This year has been quite hectic. It’s a wonder I’m as stressed and violent as I am. I wish I were living under the same rock that Friga has been.
